Welcome to Premier Racking Inspections

Premier Racking Inspections Limited are based in Plymouth, on the Devon & Cornwall border and our services cover the south west. We provide a professional service in Racking Inspections, ensuring the safe use of storage equipment.

All inspections are carried out in accordance with the SEMA Code of Practice.

What is a SARI and do you need a SARI Inspection?

The SEMA Approved Inspector Qualification is aimed at individuals who carry out the inspection of storage equipment as a significant part of their duties. To achieve the required standard, they must successfully complete a specially designed intensive course, written examination and practical assessment. There is also an on-going commitment to CPD for which inspectors are required to attain a prescribed number of points on an annual basis.

It is a requirement under Health & Safety Publication HSG76 “Warehousing and Storage A Guide to Health& Safety” that pallet racking inspections must be carried out annually by a technically qualified person such as a SEMA approve racking inspector (SARI).

It is also a requirement under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER). It states that all employers need to ensure that “their equipment is maintained to an efficient state and that work equipment needs to be inspected at “suitable intervals”.

Employers also have a duty of care to their employees.

How we can help you

Premier Racking Inspections Limited can provide you with SEMA SARI Independent Racking Inspection in accordance with the SEMA Code of Practice. We are an independent business who provide SEMA SARI Inspections, we do not install, repair, or sell storage equipment.

We will visit your premises and conduct a professional inspection of your storage equipment. On completion of the inspection we will provide you with a comprehensive racking report, including a plan drawing and identification of all damage and the risk levels in a clear and easy to read format.

However, if we find any significant damage during the inspection, this will be pointed out to you or your representative on site to take immediate action to make the area safe. We will also highlight safety recommendations regarding the layout and use of your racking. This will help reduce future damage, reducing ongoing costs of repair.

Should you require further information or clarification regarding our services, please do not hesitate to contact us.
